Three perhaps... I'd like to see a hooded base like a Navy version.
The only thing that still troubles me is that many, like 1 in 3 chinese gas assemblies are out of spec enought that gas lock sights of any kind, sit canted slightly to one side or the other. This isn't adjustable as the gas plug dictates rotational position in the end. Using a US spec gas cylinder from SAI, SEI, 7.62firearms or a USGI unit would alleviate the issue for those having gas lock alignment issues. Then... If the adjustable gas lock did in fact allow one to "dial in" the gas system tension to a point that allows for a happy medium between hot and cold barrel.... Life would be grand 
This unit however can not affect port alignment as this is ONLY able to be altered by conditioning the gas band shoulder or by shimming. There's no getting around that with a gas lock of any kind.
If this unit does allow one to positively affect POI and group size by "dialing" it in, it would be cool to see it come with graduations machined in so a guy could have a reference during fine adjustment.
They've gone where it appears no one has gone before. Furthering the evolution/development of the m14 platform is a cool thing. I'll be getting one and seeing what it can do on one of my mostly stock, 3MOA (warm barrel)shorties.

Something I was just thinking about.. I wonder if this device will perform differently on unitized gas systems over the standard setup... Hmm...
It would not affect the gas lock. In fact the combination of the two would be desireable.
This gas lock sound like it may be able to improve barrel harmonics via adjusting cylinder to barrel tension at the gas lock, not behind it.
The way I would go about this is to Unitize the gas system, which prevents any movement on the barrel. Improving harmonics by making gas band and cylinder a one piece unit.
Then install and first deal with port alignment by trial fitting the adjustable gas lock. Tighten til everything is snug and check port. If good, then leave it. If it's got poor alignment at the ports, peen the gas band shoulder or shim accordingly.
This would then allow for true tension adjustment, while maintaining port alignment.
And with the cylinder unitized, the gas band can not move or shift while adjusting the gas lock as the barrel heats and cools.
That's the way I'd do it anyways. Will be good to put one thru the paces.

I got 2 chinese threaded ones a month n a bit ago. I think he just chased the "usgi" thread with a metric tap but not sure. Someone else picked em up for me.
I just sent a barrel down to joe for shortening and threading and requested an adjustable gas lock sight so we'll see what happens.

I wonder whatever happened to "volters" ? I think the guy sellin em was "johnnyvolume" I don't remember now. It's been 3 or 4 years since I was sent samples
They made a version for the chinese barrel thread very similar to smith enterprise.
