Hornady LNL AP eject vs. EZject

BS. Many thousands of rounds loaded with the "original" ejection system.
The EZ-Ject method is smoother, works better with dinged-up rims and other imperfect circumstances - but the primary benefit is using standard dies (non-Hornady) in the fifth station, where previously the ejection wire interfered with most other brand's crimping dies.
LNL AP systems have been shipped with EZ-Ject since 2009 - if you are buying a used one and want EZ-Ject, get the serial number and confirm with Hornady that it is in the EZ-Ject range.
EZ-Ject shell plates will work with an older press, but pre-EZ-Ject shell plates need to be modified (groove machined underneath the plate) by Hornady to work with the modern system.
Original one (Pro-Ject) didn't work well with smaller calibers like 9mm. Some presses are compatible with new EZ-Ject, conversion is $30 and is well worth it.
If getting EZ-Ject conversion, get Pistol insert for powder measure as well - older presses came with one insert - good for rifle (duh, 'universal') - huge improvement if loading 9mm and .40s&w.

You'll have no argument from me that it is possible to load thousands of rounds with that design in place to eject the finished round.
What I said is it is a poor design in the first place. If it wasn't a poor design to begin with, Hornady would never have taken the extraordinary step of creating a modified update and re-designing the shell plates. Not sure how or why you'd argue that point, but it is a clearer indication that your red stripes are showing through....
You said it "was crap and did not work worth s**t" which is inflammatory, exaggerated, and not helpful information for the OP or anyone else. It was a workable design, the primary flaw, as I indicated, being the requirement for special (Hornady) dies in the fifth station.
