I was thinking the same.

Me thinks he's cross border shopping.

I can buy surplus 7.62 x 54 x 440 for $110, and Brown Bear 7.62 x 54 x 200 for $90 in Buffalo, but don't wanna risk the BS.

Prvi 150gr SPBT 7.62X54 ????

yes.

Don't forget to look at PRVI soft points in x39, Nasty accurate. Westrifle has LVE x54R both in soft points and fmj. They shoot quite well, even a bit better than MFS.

Depending on importer, MFS has most calibers in SP and fmj.

Thank you fiddler for kind words

By the way LVE (novosibirsk cartridge plant ) is number one in Russia by volume who produces 7.62x54 . Mostly for Russian military and special forces. One brand of i think Brown Bear or Golden bear is produced there as well and packaged for that company. Wolf Ammo is another purchaser of LVE products.
Please add those to the list I bet many will be surprised when they shoot it for the first time.

You can see full list of products offered in Canada here : http://www.westrifle.com/online/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2

 Really !!! I added them to my listing...

I made some search and found about 10 items on my lists so i will order them in about 1 or 2 weeks...

Cauz this week i found the perfect riffle to test 7.62X54 accuracy : a nice M39 Mosin Nagant...made by SAKO...
But i have to pay it so the ammo will w8

And for the 39* i will use my 1955/56 Tula SKS

Thx guys for the replys, i really appreciate it !!!

Hey Sergey96, will you sell me just a box or two of those ammo ???
Cauz i only see them in big packages on the site !!!

I just can't buy 200-500 of each brand :D
That will cost me an arm and a leg and eat alot of room in my ammo safe :p

This is the riffle i will test the 7.62 ammos...
My match number 1955/56 Tula SKS :

For now i only added the TechSight sight ( from Hical.ca ) and a Tapco mag.
Today i received the apperture kit and a bolt buffer from Techsights.
I also ordered a Timbersmith Monte-Carlo stock and a Trigger/mag release Wolf spring kit... Should have it in a week or two !!!
Then i will make a *Standard* trigger job on that thing.
Should be a gr8 shooter :D

006-5.jpg

Now i can put few X on my list... :p

Ok my tester 7.62x54 Mosin Nagant is in the mail... should have it next week.

I will also order every ammo i found in Canada...
The winter is gonna be long ovrec

It would be interesting if you added an SVT-40 in to the mix.

That will be a great idea if one of my friend buy one.
I think that SVT40 will be less accurate than my new finnish SAKO M39 M/Nagant but interesting to see what is best in a SVT ( feeding, reliability... )
If my friend buy one we will test both two riffles ( 10 rounds each ) and if he don't buy it i'll test all the 54R with the M/N...
Sounds good ???

And for the 39, another of my friend still have a nice scoped cz58 on hand...
Maybe we will make all the tests with my sks and his cz... ( 10 rounds each )

What you guys think of that ???
