Excellent group.

I have an RFB on order.

I have been looking at either an Aimpoint or Burris Prism AR-332 as well.

I think I am going with the Burris.

How did it mount? Any issues?

How was the sight picture @ 100 yard.

I plan on using it for hunting...

mine groups similar with 150grn remington core locs

i went to go to the range today to work up a few loads (nosler 150grn accubonds, hornady a-max 168grn amd barnes ttsx 168grn)

hopefully one of those bullets is consistantly under an inch i would be very happy

Check the eye relief on that scope!!!! Remember this is a 18.5" 308, not a 223. With the Burris Fullfield 3-9x I just have enough eye relief. I would actually like more but it is workable. I don't have a muzzle brake so if you have a brake on yours it might be fine. I may look into a brake in the future. Note that the original poster's rifle has a brake on his.

The AR designed mounts work perfectly with the RFB. Height seems to be perfect. One thing to look out for though are quick release with the levers on the left. They can get in the way of the charging handle. See the other RFB threads for examples.

Doh!...

Thanks for the heads up...

I will have to keep looking...2-2.5 inches probably won't work all that well.

I mounted it with the mount thats comes with it, it could not be simpler to mount set it on the rail and tight the 2 screws! the only thing is the srews are close to were your hand is wen you pull the charging handle, but me I grab it on the edge and its not a problem for me.

I think its perfect for hunthing in the bush and 0 to 100 yard, target acquisition is super fast, you can even shoot it with both eyes open! I find the hight of the sight perfect and for eye relief I find it great, I mean my rfb only have the flash hyder cant really be all that worst with out it????

my verdic on this sight is double tumbs up I really like it(for what I intend to do with it) but if you plain on hunting 100 to 300 yard youd be better off buying a regular scope, as I might do next spring for the range but I think for hunting this will be a keeper.

The elcan os defenitly a nice optic, a bit heavy but really nice. Woulda ben my pic but at pass 2 grand with tax was out of my price range its like 4 times the price of the ar-332

I have a Nightforce 2.5-10x24 on my RFB... seems like a perfect combo! Also have a NF 1-4x if I want to swap it out...

Nice shootin... my RFB is black, but I'm thinking about duracoating it tan!

Here is a link to some reloading info for the RFB.

Looks like Varget and 168 gr. Bullets are a good place to start.

I plan on trying Nosler Accubonds (165) and Barnes TTSX(168).

IMR 4895 will be the second powder I try.

I was VERY encouraged when reading how accurate this rifle could be with the right load....seems 1 MOA is VERY achievable....
