wolf Hunting

Looking to get out in the Palliser area for a Wolf hunt this year and would like to know if a 95 gr Hornady SST out of my 243 doing 3150+ is to much for the pelt. I shot my WT doe in the neck last week and there was minimal damage so I was thinking it might be pelt safe.

I use those on deer and I can put my fist through the exit wound. I say choose something else.

I shoot them with 87gr soft points at 3400. I don't like wolves....or there pelts.

90 Grain Swift Sciroccos , high BC for long range and bonded for controled expansion.

I shot mine with a 180 grain .308 just a clean through and through.

Sure, why not?.. A bullet through the ribs wont damage too much, and if it does just sew it up... no big deal.

I've witnessed those exact bullets at ~3000fps go through numerous coyotes rib cages and only leave a loonie sized exit wound....hit shoulder and things change significantly.

180 gr 30.06 takes care of the wolf problems for the ranchers who property I hunt on.
