Not sure if this is the place for this but,

I was wondering if anyone is using the Tac 21 body for precision shooting. I am interested in doing a 6 XC or 260 and like the looks of this chassy, it may fit more towards the Tactical aspect but thats precision was well in some cases.

Cheers:cheers:

Hi Bucky. I have a Rem700/MDT with Krieger barrel in .308 that shoots half moa easily. I would not hesitate to use it for F/TR if I did not have my Coyote (which is just a hair better). I brought it to the Farky and will bring it to the V-Bulls this weekend as my backup.

I use a Magpul PRS stock so I have a nice flat place for the rear bag and currently a 2.5# Timney trigger. The action and barrel were put together by Dennis Sorensen and all in all it behaves exactly the way I hoped it would.

MDT is A-OK in the accuracy dept.

Hey 50calshooter, how did you get it to sit on that plug-in like that in the first pic?? :p

Joking aside, I really like my Tac21 chassis. Aside from the magazine being short for my rifles throat but that is no fault of the chassis.

The 20moa rail is part of the chassis. This is common with tubegun style chassis and doesn't seem to cause any problems for those using them in precision shooting competitions. Keep the action screws tight and there is no reason for any scope shifting to occur.

OK.

Asking because Cadex or AI new chassis as examples, the top rail is directly bolted to the action.

Oh well...

The action slides inside the chassis so tight, that you have to lube your action up to get it in. It really is like plowing a virgin for the first time...

In all seriousness though, after the action and barrel are installed, the end result is a chassis that is molded around your action and lug, theres no movement whatsoever, the tolerances are extremely tight. It really is an engineering marvel...

Pretty sure a chick can only be a virgin once, there are no 2nd+ times... Though that would be awesome, Virginal qualities with experience!
So off topic, sorry

I'm still debating between this and the A.I.C.S , for one of my remmy's, I'm sort of leaning towards the A.I.C.S because with the TAC21 you have to buy an additional AR grip and expandable stock.

That's what determined it for me - I went with AICS 2.0 but I think the MDT would also have been a great choice. Honestly, I don't think you can fault either.
