What's everybody carrying this season for whitetails?

Winchester 100 carbine in .308
Mosin M38 in 7.62 x 54r
Ruger Deerfield in .44rem mag
Lee Enfield 1 mark III sporter in .303

Depends on what stand and or if I'm dogging.

I will be carrying a Ruger #1B in .270 Winchester with a Leupold 3.5-10x40 with a Boone and Crockett reticle. That rifle with Nosler Partitions has gotten to be "old faithful" for me.

I'll be carrying my Kimber Montana 7WSM with 140gr TTSX or 162gr A-Max while looking for moose/deer/bear, and when I'm after deer only I might carry the same thing, or I might succumb to the soft spot in my heart for my version of the ultimate deer/coyote rifle, the Tikka T3 SS/Lam in .25-06 shooting 100gr TTSX bullets.

I will be using my Sako 85 Bavarian chambered for the 300 WSM. Hand loaded with 150 grain Nosler Accubonds. Watch out whitetails!!!

There are many great selections posted, with some fine rigs hitting the woods this year. For me this fall my Win M70 Featherweight, 30-06, 2x7 Leupold gets the nod. My Marlin pre-crossbolt 44 Mag carbine gets the brush role.

Running the usual this year...

.270 Parker Hale with a 3x9 Burris scope - 140gr Nosler AB handloads for day to day stuff and a Marlin 30AS in 30-30 with peep sights for pushing the thick stuff out. Running handloaded 170gr Speer softpoints in the 30-30.

Can't wait!! Picked up another 2500 acres of farm land to hunt WT in this year :D That may not excite our western brothers, but in Southern Ontario that is a major chunk of turf!
