There's a great start.
Try the Hornady 30 gn VMAX and they will likely shrink even more.
I had the same rifle in 17HMR. Kick myself for selling it. The one I have now is with the Jacardia(?) wood stock. Shoots just as well but I like the look of the stock on yours more.

I have the BTVS .22 and I get the same results. My goal is to shot that well at 100 yds. I shoot at coke can filled with water at 150.

I have tried the Hornady, they didn't shoot as well as the CCI. I have tried everything I can find for this rifle and CCI is the ammo it likes best.

I'm not liking the 100 yard results I'm getting and once I get the action bedded I'm hoping that will tighten it up a lot more.

I played the 10/22 game in various configurations, but came down to accuracy in the end, and this thing kicks the 10/22's ass all day everyday. LOL

Buy another one! They are cheap!
