Is the GSG 522 available here or has it suffered the same fate as the GSG 5?
I know it is based off the 5 but a guy can always hope right.

I am fairly certain it isnt
 
I sure would be nice if our retarded Govt. would grow a brain and pull the stupid restrictions off these .22 Cal. rifles! I'd love the 416, the S&W 15/22, and the GSG mp5 variants! and at the end of the day there still .22 Cal.

on another note, it looks like the Govt. im referring to so kindly is actually pulling the long gun registry today..... ;-)
 
OK well shooters edge says there is a gsg5 look alike that has passes canadian cert and now are waiting for shipping. I've been told it could be roughly Dec, Jan or Feb.
They have a 110 round drum for it.
 
Shooters edge has the 110 rd drum? I saw a thread about it last week now i cant find it. I'm going to buy a 10/22 just to get that 110 rd drum muhahahahaha

Where did you get that info and more specifically, what gun are you talking about???

there's nothing to that effect on the Shooting edge's website, nor in their section of the forum...you'd think they'd advertise a gun of such interest a lot more...
 
i think maybe you were referring to the GSG MP40 and STG44?

Because those are indeed likely to hit the canadian shelves.

Hello All,

As it stands the GSG5 and variants are still prohibited devices in Canada. We will be bringing in the GSG 110 drum magazines as soon as production begins and we are able to get them certified in Canada. We will keep everyone posted on the progress of the magazines as they get closer to delivery to stores.

Thanks for the update,

i can't help but wonder though, whats the interest in importing the mags for a firearm that is prohibited?
 
OK, ask anyone at TSE about the gsg flyer. They have them in there back pockets. There is a MP5 looking gun, yes I know the MP5 is prohibited. Anyway this gun in the flyer pasted cert and they have ordered lots of these guns. It's a .22lr. On the flyer it also shows a bunch of accesories, like the 110 round drum. I'm guessing from black dog. I don't think gsg makes there own drums.
They said H&K lawsuit made them change the layout of the gun and no royalties where need to H&K.
Next time I'm at tse I'll get the info on the gun!

After speaking with the gentlemen at The Shooting Edge we can only assume the firearm in question is the ISSC Scar. There is no MP5 looking gun in .22 ca that they are aware of for sale. GSG does produce their own drum magazines; we hope to have these available shortly to the Canadian consumer.
