You must have a tough shoulder!:D
I doubt if you will find any store with a large or even moderate supply of single shot 10 gauges. They may have the odd one or could possibly order in.

Most hnr single tens I see are the turkey version. There seems to always be one at auction in paris. Its put on by triggers and bows just outside brantford ontario you could try them or have epps order one in

I seen the odd one here and there, best thing to do is look up their numbers and give them a call. My friend bought one at Ontario Gun Services years ago, but haven't seen one there since.

10ga hnr product code is (SB2-MAD)
Turkey pardner
American hardwood camo finish pgs recoil pad sling swivel studs w/ sling
24" barrel bead front drilled n tapped for scope
Extra full screw in choke
40" oal
Lop 14 1/4"
9lbs
It says aftermarket chokes available but does not list any for the 10ga. Hope this helps

has anyone shot one of these? what does it feel like?

my sxs 10ga churchill is mild because the thing weighs a TON, im scared of what it would be like in a lightweight single :O

The turkey gun does kick a bit but its not to bad with lighter loads. 2 1/4 oz loads of #4 let you know tho. The 2010/2011 catalog doesn't list the 30" or the 36" barrel lengths. Maybe they are discontinued? My double weighs 11.6lbs empty and its pleasant to shoot waterfowl loads with

What lighter loads are you going to shoot out of a 10 ga? Every factory load is "heavy" especially in a gun missing 6 inches of barrel.

I've got some 1 5/8oz BB loads that are quite pleasant in a 9lb gun. They seem a lot softer then my 3.5" 12ga shooting max loads. I've yet to see a goose get away inside 35 yards with a 1 5/8 oz loads of BBs if I put the flight cancellation package in the right place that is

I`ve been goose hunting with a 10ga. Pardner(turkey gun) for about five yrs ( got a deal on it). I keep the size of shot no bigger than BB in steel. When I can get the components, I reload for it too. Recoil does`nt bother me and I am 5ft6"and 145lbs. Works great for me in certain hunting conditions. Otherwise I use an 870.

the smaller you are the easier it should be to handle recoil

I own 2 H&R's The REAL one has the 36" barrel on it. My other one is the NEF SB-2 SAD or whatever the heck you call it. I use bOTH every spring. I shoot one turkey with each one. I like them both and technically speaking the 3 1/2 12 ga. and the 3 1/2" 10 ga are identical loadings. I see no difference. BTW, I'm 67 years old and lug and shoot either one with ease.
