Yup! Good timing, too, my stock remington one was coming apart on the corners.. Perhaps it was because the nut was loose!

Don't forget to add a little purple or blue threadlocker to the forearm nut so it stays tight. Enjoy your new "little friend"

Actually, the barrel is likely a factory remington barrel and came with chokes. It's probably the barrel off of one of these h ttp://www.remington.com/products/firearms/shotguns/model-870/model-870-express-tactical-grey.aspx

I have one on my 870 as well, and the finish is as you first described, silver/black...
