Greetings to all the reloaders out there.
Just thought I would give a "heads up" to some who may acquire brass made in Europe for the 7x57, 8x57, etc. [particularly RWS brass, but some others may apply]
You may find that the shellholder recommended for the same case in North America will not fit [i.e RCBS #3] the European cases.
If you substitute the shellholder recommended for the 220 Swift [RCBS #11] it will work just fine.
Some reloading manuals will flag this issue, but others do not mention it.

Eagleye; thanks for the tip. What is the reason for the problem? Is it the rim thickness or the diameter of the rim or extraction groove?

I was reloading mixed range brass. About half of it would not fit the shell holder and got tossed. Do not recall the headstamp.

It's primarily the design of the extractor groove...both depth and width of the groove itself.
Sometimes a #2 RCBS shellholder will work also, BTW.
