Is this stuff ok to run thru a Glock 17? Is the copper washed steel harder on barrels than the copper plated or TMJ's?

MFS 9mm 115gr FMJ. Zinc plated steel cases. The projectile in these is copper washed, steel jacketed, lead core.

Lots of people using it, including myself, in G17's.

It is typically a little harder on a traditionally rifled barrel, but with Glocks Polygonal rifling not having the typical sharp lands and grooves, I am not sure it would have the same negative effects.

Regardless its not a super tight match barrel so I am not concerned.

Its a bit dirtier. You will see your fingers turn black pretty quick when handling it

But the price is worth it, and its accurate stuff for cheap ammo

I only shoot MFS out of my G17 and have put atleast 9000 rounds through her and the barrel is mint

You'll be fine. The ammo is cheap and shoots well. I find it very accurate. Win-win especially at the price.

Only downer is that you can't relaod the cases.

As others have stated, its dirty but it shoots fine. I personally haven't noticed anything different with my gun after shooting 600~ through it, and the only issues i've had with the ammo is 3xFTF but its not like my life is on the line so i don't really care.

I've shot about 250rnds of the 1000 MFS 9mm I picked up for my Glock17.
I find it a little dirtier, accurate enough and the sparks are pretty cool!

Every round fired was followed with a few sparks leaving the muzzle.
My buddy in the next stall also noticed them...

yeah...that sounds awesome for your barrel. Lots of ranges won't allow the use of steel jacketed ammo at indoor ranges. OUtdoor ranges are good to go.

I noticed the sparks too! Well my buddy in the next bay over did. Not sure what the deal is with the sparks but the 1000 I fired off had zero failures and was accurate enough. It is dirty but Target Sports has this handy OMNI cleaning station so with a quick field strip I toss all the components in, soak, scrub a little and shes as clean as ever. This cleaning solution gets everywhere and is IMHO very effective!!
