What's everybody carrying this season for whitetails?

After all the arguments on the other thread no-one has mentioned a 22-250 or 223....I wonder why

I am running a Ruger 77 in 22 250 with 55gr PSPs.

Been taking three the last few years, The model 88 Win rifle in 308, Model 94 Win in 30-30, and model 92 Win, in 44-40.
Later I'll take the Phoenix out for the bow hunt, if I still have a tag.

Undecided at this point.

Either my grandfather's old Tikka M65 30-06, or my Remington 870 with the rifled slug barrel.

Probably the Tikka though; my grandfather loved it and cared for it meticulously, and left it to me when he passed on; I'm sure he'd rather see me shoot a deer with his old deer rifle than my new 870.

BLR in 308 with 150g powermax. Gotta reputation to uphold as believe it or not my first deer hunt was last fall and I dropped a 12 point typical at 97 yrds with a 30-30. This year I'll probably end up just being the camp cook with a very clean rifle and a lot of left over ammo!

They are all of that and then some, but the darn thing is fun and any deer hit has never needed a second shot....
