Haha. Honestly, the Mini-14 and Su-16 are a closer comparison and simply not in the same playing field as the others (sorry if this strikes a nerve, but it is what it is...).

The MR1 is kind of it a class by itself because it's about midway between the others and the XCR. The Tavor, FS2000 and ACR are really in a tier up from the XCR both in terms of quality and price, and the former are bullpup designs.

The closest comparison to an XCR is the NR version of the ACR (not that this matters, since the ACR is unobtanium at the moment).

Is there any reason you are not looking at the SU-16?

I hadnt really considered it, would definitely be easier on the wallet thats for sure.

Probly not a fair comparison to the others since its less than half the price but how would it stack up?

The way I see it I would either go "cheap" with the SU16 or go all in with the XCR route, Im really not feeling the Benelli anymore at 1700 for something I dont 100% want. Not exactly a bargain at that point.

Well, to a certain degree you do get what you pay for. But if you're mainly looking for something that's lightweight, somewhat compact and takes AR magazines - the SU-16 probably fits the bill.

I couldn't say, to be honest. I think there's an SU-16 thread thread floating around though.

When I was making this decision, I opted for the XCR, and honestly don't regret it. the stock is #### tho, I'd strongly advise changing the stock sooner as opposed to later. it changes the entire gun. (balance and cheek)
