Almost 5000 .22lr through her now.

Epps shows a few in stock at $502 currently and Frontier has 4 at $520, so they're out there.

How is the trigger P90Puma? Are they much improved over the stock and Target models?

I owned one for about a year.

Replaced the hammer with a VQ target hammer, and it lightened up the trigger pull to an acceptable weight but it was still that same spongy 10/22 pull.

It shot very well for a factory semi auto, but in the end I gave up throwing money at it to make it shoot well.

I bought a Savage MKII heavy barrel and haven't looked back. It shoots groups half the size of the 10/22. ;)

You really want to play that game?

50m 5 shot groups, with CCI Standard Velocity(no target stuff):

Imagine if I was actually a good shot, and didn't have the flyers. ;)

I'm not saying that a factory 10/22 TT can't shoot like this, it can, but at 25m, not 50! :D

And the gun and scope together cost less than the 10/22 TT alone.

Just sayin...............

I built one.

Regular 10/22 black with synthetic stock. I replaced the stock with a Hogue ghillie tan stock and bought a DLask 16" fluted/threaded barrel. I still have to get the trigger done. The stock 10/22 trigger sucks. So far it shoots 38 grain American Eagle hollow points like match ammo.

As for the Savage pictures. My stock T/C R55 semi auto shoots CCI like that at 50 as well. It actually shoots that stuff 1 moa at 100 yards.

I like my Rugers (I own 2 of them). But the R55 was what the 10/22 should have been. Steel receiver, threaded on barrel, decent although a bit heavy trigger and last shot hold open. The two things going for the Ruger are adaptability/parts and that 10 round rotary magazine. Oh and no you don't have to spend a lot to get the 10/22 to shoot.

Buying the 10/22 tactical is the cheapest way to go. This build cost a little bit more. Basically you get the bipod for free when you buy the factory offering. But.. you're stuck with a black stock and a non threaded barrel. Also the DLask barrel is fluted and shoots the cheap 38 grain American Eagle ammo the same as my stock Ruger targets shoot Lapua Super club. Frankly maybe even better. I'll know for sure once the trigger is done.

Since this picture I've changed the rings to slightly lower ones. It's perfect now.

not looking for the most precise .22 just want something that is shorter but still accurate, its mostly going to be for chickens anyways also just really like the way the ruger looks

I've got the 10/22 Target Tactical and have been really happy with the accuracy. It's one ragged hole at 50 yards and I get some awesome groups from 100 as well, all with CCI mini mags.

I did the trigger work as per the info on this site as well as added the Volquartsen HP action kit and it's a very, very, solid shooter. I've owned the Volquartsen TG2000 trigger assembly before and the action kit may not be quite as solid as the TG2000 but works really well and is at least $100 cheaper.

If you're after "that look" I don't think you can beat the 10/22 Target Tac.

I'll second that, I have never been a fan of the 10 22 after several friends had accuracy issues, until i bought a target version and did all the home mods i could find, no xtra parts bought just cleaned up the original stuff correctly and mine now shoots very well, not as well as my sako but i probably wouldn't admit it if it did!!!!
I'd like to do something with the standard stock at some point.
