I've got my rings all picked out... just don't know what height to get until the rifle gets here.i am in the exact same boat as you, waiting at the post office...
pmags & scope standing by...maybe i should buy rings in the meantime. hopefully here this month
Pretty cool... I've just gotta say, I'm pissed off about getting the s**tty tubular stock... I want the new one...
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$i guess you can thank the US department of state for that one...
I am trying to get one of the ACR to XCR stock adapter's up here, when they prove available. That might be the best interim solution.
Again.... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Again.... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I like the SCAR platform but not enough to pay TWICE as much as an XCR...
... just don't know what height to get until the rifle gets here.
Would like it to clear the foldable sightsWhy? The Obj diameter +6mm divided by 2 will give you the height to center then order the rings accordingly.
Using TPS rings as an example: 44mm Obj + 6mm /2 = 25mm to center and would mean that low rings would work.
Its got a flat top; no taper, no sights etc that will touch the Obj lens. Charging handle is not like the AR series so that's not an issue either. Personal preference will tell you if you normally prefer hunkering down tight on the stock or if you prefer a more relaxed posture requiring medium rings in this case.
At least then the rings will be here for when your gun arrives.
Just my $0.02
Regards,
Would like it to clear the foldable sights![]()
Considered a 'major implement of war'Is it a no go because it's folding or collapsible? Or both?
I do prefer the SCAR. If it were a choice between the two I'd pay more and get the SCAR. I think it's safe to say the XCR will get here first. Who knows what will happen with the SCAR. It is a shame they still have the crappy regular stock for the XCR though. Yes US export rules area a pain.
Just sayin' but there is one for sale in the ee...
