Hey guys, I figure someone on this forum must know the answer for this. I've been looking around Home Depot, Rona, BMR, Canadian Tire, and I can't seem to locate it anywhere.

With all the builds found here, some one MUST have used some Loctite for their rail mounts or something.

Thanks

You're probably looking in the wrong section at Canadian Tire. Heaven forbid you ask for help in there though, that store is one of the worst for customer service. Everytime I leave that place I get a twitch in my eye and I hope that someday someone high up in that comapny is gonna get a boatload of their bad karma delivered!

Walmart also has loctite (it may not be that brand name though). It's in one of either two locations: automotive or the glue section (usually by the paint section).

Just post a WTB ad in the EE. You'll get tons of responses from XCR owners. ;)

any automotive parts supply store like acklands, napa, etc, also there a different grades of loctite ....blue, red and green

Ive gotten loctite at all the stores you have mentioned except BMR(cause I dont know what that is)

For most firearms uses you will want Locktite 242 (blue). It is a temporary thread locker. And yes, Permatex is an inferior product in my opinion. My opinion was formed during the 10 years that I was a professional mechanic.

Only two XCR hate posts, topic must be getting old. And do locktite the XCR right side safety switch, it's a B1tch to find even on the range's concrete floor.

Locktite, thread locker shouldn't be hard to find.

IIRC< locktite at CDN Tire is in the painting section, not the automative/adhesive section.

Kinda annoying since Permatex thread sealant and thread locker is in the automative section, but locktite is not.
