A large US retailer has the 3-9X40 for $149.99. Damn I wish we could order this stuff. Tempted to order a couple and have shipped to a shipping store just accross the border and pick it up and drive back.
 
I don't think there is such a thing as a 4200 3-9x40; that is a 3200 model, no? And several stores were clearing those out, right here in Canada, for under $200.

I am fairly certain that the 4200 has 4 fold magnification change whereas the 3200 has 3 fold magnification change...

In other words the 3-9x40 is the 3200 model and the 2.5-10x40 is the 4200. I suspect it is a misprint.
 
IIRC the 3-9 4200 is a dressed up 3200. Maybe someone knows more about it, I just recall being being told it wasn't in the same class as the 2.5-10

After being here as long as you have I would hope you would realize you are suggesting he break the law, and that doing so is against forum rules.

Saving $150 isn't worth the #### storm you could run into bringing it back across the border.

The US side here has had random spot checks almost every time I have crossed in the last couple months, specifically asking about firearms, ammo, and firearms accessories!

Speed is illegal and yet people still do it everyday. I am not suggesting anybody do anything but there still are people who might try and get away with it. Also, I never seen a random spot check but I have heard of them. What they don't know won't hurt them either.
 
There is a 3-9x40 4200 ( I've owned one ).

Might want to edit your posts re planning to break US law - free advice, won't be offended if you tell me to F -Off :)
