I just discovered that I NEED an upper in .50 Beowolf .
Any suggestions as to where I can get this beasty or any real world experience or info on the round

Dr. Lector, I'm not interested in it's popularity . If it was popular it wouldn't be hard to find ,thus the reason I turned to a forum full of shooters for assistance . one of the 85 000 members may have more info on this than I do

I was told once from wanstalls that they could bring in an upper for around 10k.

that being said alexandria arms sells them for like 600 bucks. (or something)

over 9 grand in export fees? #### that.
 
Putting an upper together is pretty simple. Get one of the CGN sponsors who import barrels, bring in a .50 Beowulf bbl for you and put your own together, or get one of the CGN supporting gunsmiths to do it for you.
 
I'd be interested in a Beowolf upper too but the problem is that where are we going to get the ammo? The ammo is the biggest problem, not the upper.

.50 is pretty damn big..... we can't even hunt with an AR anyways..... I'd love to get one really I do, if only I could get the quote on how much per bullet is, probably $2-4 per round I'm guessing. It'd be more practical to go to Questar and just order a damn LMT MWS that shoots .308...
 
the only way you going to get one in is probably through a third party import, the restricted status of the AR and variants couple with the odd caliber size, makes it a hard sell in Canada.
 
I would be up for one only if we can get magazines stamped for .50 Beowolf. ;)

If you think 5 rounds in a magazine sucks, try 2-3 in a neutered 30 round magazine.

Actually I found it when I was cross referenceing some info in a ballistic preformance chart and it was used for comparison .

Now excuse me I have to go look up an episode of future weapons .Maybe I'll just watch it with the sound turned down !!!!
