I'm not a Savage fan, but that one's not too bad. Of course I'd have to loose the thread protector, replace the front sight with a Ruger scalloped barrel band, replace the rear sight with a ghost ring, move the front swivel to the radius of the forend, and replace the trigger with something more suitable. Hmmm, maybe I'll just pass.

Safety Issue for Newfoundland

There's no hogs in NFLD, so you can't have one.

.

There is a public safety issue here as well, regarding marketing the HogHunter in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Given the physique of many women found there, it is entirely possible, and maybe even likely, that many women will be mistaken for game animals, with tragic results.

Sort of the opposite of the American woman who shot her husband while bear hunting there, but she looked like a bear/hog/manbearpig.

Then promptly shacked up with his brother:eek:

I'v never even been to NFLD and have never been described as tactful or politically correct but I found that comment a little rude.

If however your statement is in fact factually based then I apologise.

The only fact in that persons post is his show of immaturity.

Now back to the gun... I can't find anything on their web site about it.

they released there 2012 line up on facebook. probly give them a month or two and they should have there sit updated

What amuses me with items like this is that a company comes out with a good solid platform then spends the next decade selling the same thing over and over with little to no changes at all.

shorter barrel longer barrel
new colour
thingies to screw on the end of the gun
give it a cool name

The reality is it is the same old same old gun ( a good one however )

Instead of companies spending their R&D money on marketing gimmick how about putting that to improve the quality of the product with better materials and manufacturing processes. ( Case in point the tupperware stocks )

Reminds me of a old movie call " Tin men " There was a seen where they were all talking about having to buy this years caddillac model and get rid of last years because this years model had bigger tail fins.
