Great Deal - Bushnell Elite 4200

A large US retailer has the 3-9X40 for $149.99. Damn I wish we could order this stuff. Tempted to order a couple and have shipped to a shipping store just accross the border and pick it up and drive back.

Sweet, just remember to buy a tub of Vaseline while you're down there picking it up...

Speed is illegal and yet people still do it everyday. I am not suggesting anybody do anything but there still are people who might try and get away with it. Also, I never seen a random spot check but I have heard of them. What they don't know won't hurt them either.

Except when you are caught speeding, you don't get to walk home (eventually) a free prostate exam, all your purchases confiscated, banned for life from ever entering the US again and put on their no-fly list. Which BTW, makes a trip to Mexico or the Caribbean much more expensive when you have to go via Europe since you can no longer cross US airspace.....

I go to the Caribbean or down south which includes Mexico 2-3 time a year. Never have I stopped in the USA for any reason. How will they know if I am on a plane in their airspace?

On March 23, 2011, “Bill C-42: An Act to Amend the Aeronautics Act” received Royal assent and became law in Canada. Prior to passage of the amendment, the Aeronautics Act already permitted airline operators to share passenger data with foreign agencies that govern an international flight’s destination. This new amendment extends this information sharing by allowing the airlines to share passenger data with US transportation authorities for any flight that enters US airspace, even if that flight never touches down on US soil.

BTW, the US exit checks over the past 6 months have been increased to levels I have never seen before.... You might want to get a second opinion from the couple of CGN members that HAVE been caught....

I agree and I do not suggest it. These things were done in my young and stupid days. It's not worth it.

For what its worth there's no longer a 4200, or 3200, they simply have the elite, which is kinda a blend of the two. Probably why they can be found so cheap.

Is it really a blend of the two ?? and do you have more information I can read up on? I have been trying to find a description of what this New Elite mark really is. Is it a blend of the 2 or is it just the 4200s and they have dropped the 3200s. I'm really interested as I like the 4200s and find them great value for money and serviceable for pretty much any application at their given magnification level.

No real info aside with a conversation I had with a bushnell retailer. Basically handling the 3 of em, 4200 seems the nicest, elite is good, but nicer than the 3200. Other easy indicator is price, less than regularly priced 4200s and more than the 3200. Replace either under warrenty and you'll probably get an elite. Get the 4200 at a clearance price for the best deal.
