I have been looking and e-mailing trying to find a dealer who has one of the M&P 40 range kits but no luck. Anyone know of a dealer who might have one?
Thanks
Thanks
I am inclined to disagree.
For range use the holster is perfect.
What's wrong with the mag pouch?
The quality of the holster and pouch is poor. They're knock offs or contract copies of Uncle Mike's holsters, which are no better. It looks like its a deal, but the holster and pouch are only there to entice you to buy. Much better holsters and mag pouches can be had.

Without a doubt, one can always find better equipment. Safariland makes really nice holsters that are suede lined to protect the finish of your handgun. But they also retail for about 4x the price of a basic Bladetech or Uncle Mike's. Everyone has their own expectation of value, and for some, basic is good. The UpLULA loader that comes in the Range kit is alone worth $30, plus $50 for a S&W magazine. That right there seems to make the kit worth the extra $50.
I have a M&P Range kit on order, and with a bit of luck I should have it within a week or 2. Once it shows up, I will post a no-BS write-up on CGN for people who are wondering. And if you are wondering, yes I am planning on buying a second holster.Just not sure which one yet.
This statement is kind of moot.
Of course they are there just to get you to buy.
Of course there are better holsters you can get (these ones are free.)
There is NOTHING wrong with this holster for range use. The pistol slides into it and draws comfortably and retains the firearm even during heavy running.
Obviously it's a free holster and isn't meant to be used as a carry holster or for serious competitive use.
... The holster and mag pouch sell for about $25 each, so getting them for free is still a very good deal and they will do fine and it is even not uncommon to see them used by IPSC and IDPA competitors who don't want to spend big bucks on their gear.
Although you are getting a spare magazine and a loader as well. There is no such thing as a free lunch. The accessories are marketed as "free" bonuses but they are not free.

Having a hard time taking you seriously here. This package retails at the same price the individual pistols were going for prior to the package.
This deal simply cannot be beat, it is the best bang for your buck for an entry level polymer pistol and any opinion you have on the matter is personal bias.
