Has anyone else noticed this,or is it just me?I have limited once, got 3 once and a couple of doubles and singles, the birds are just not flying here.Everyone I talk to here says the same thing.Went out last saturday and saw 2 small flocks and they wanted nothing to do with our decoy spread, usually between the 3 of us in a morning,if we didn't limit out,we'd come close. Is this a weather thing or is it we are missing something?

I know where pincourt is... not sure where you hunt bud.... but here in eastern ontario it has been great... banner even.... I went out 5 times... got 3-4 canadas every time and once got 12 snows in a sitting......... you have to go when it is cold... if you have the guts it is only gonna get better bud.....

I saw one flock down low thisyear at my place, the came in to my pond (no huntin in town) and left within an hour.

Other than that, a couple "high miler" groups that you'd need anti-aircraft equipment for.

Very dismall outlook - so bad in fact that I haven't even bought my stamp yet this year :(

With the exceptionally dry summer, crops were off the fields in our area very early this past fall. As a result most fields were plowed and combined with the unusually hot weather goose hunting was poor compared to years past. There seems to be a lot of geese around now but it's deer hunting season so they're pretty safe, haven't seen a single group of goose hunters in the field lately.

We've had the best goose season ever so far out here. Our small gang stands somewhere in the 50-60 geese and who knows how many ducks.

Myself I got about 30lbs of goose pepperettes.

got out once with my brother behind my house..... got 3..... but it was late in the season... 1 week prior to that, there were more than 500 birds about half a click behind my back porch.

I've had a really bad time so far around port colborne. The few geese we've seen or heard we're flying north as soon as night fell; nowhere to be found during the day though. we would see one, maybe two flocks heading east usually and that's it until they wake us up at night. The few we've seen during the day have also had almost no interest in our decoys. we've only gotten 1 flock to come in and it was a small one of 4 :-(
im really hoping to get a deer this week as my freezer is empty so far..

Agreed. Our season was not that great either. Also, a lot of the fields we hunt had their crops changed from barley/oats/wheat to beans and peas. The geese we did see were just not patterning as in previous years. We did shoot some but nothing compared to last year.

We haven't been having as good a season as last year. That being said I have made up for less predictable birds with shear numbers of hours in the field. Been out something like 22 times and shoot somewhere around 90 geese personally. Throw in a few bonus geese when we are on the water and I have had a good year but the birds aren't as co-operative as previous years, I think they are sitting in one area too long due to the warmer temperatures.

Before you ask every birds has been eaten or is in a state now where it can be eaten.

Just took this from the road.... my blind is on that small piece of land on the right....

We usually hunt between St.Clet, all the way to the Ontario border (my friend has farm fields) and last week we saw 2 small flocks in the morning and a few thousand snows, but no action. And yes the corn was cut but absolutely nothing.

Goose season...Winnipeg

It's been limit after limit here, folks. The city has become their favourite system of ponds, and people feed 'em. Basically, all we have to do is read the wind right, and set up. Hardly ever use decoys.

Looks like I picked a bad year to start hunting.

It's been way too hot and the fowl haven't been moving. It's shot up to almost 20 one or two mornings in the past 14 days. I'm hoping things go better next year.
