Congrats on a nice moose. Got mine back in the beginning of October when it was 90 degrees out. It was a good trip but cut short due to the hot weather. I think I'd prefer to hunt longer and later and spend some quality "bush" time. Nothing wrong with a long season if you have the time.

Moose season was an exercise in frustration for me and my hunting buddy. We spent at least 20 days hunting and saw only one bull - the 2nd to last day of the season and 1 hour past shooting time. He did find a bull that someone shot and left to rot in a cutblock.

Anyways, glad yours went better than ours.

A moose that takes effort is always better than a moose that was just luck.

You really should think about your moose photography skills, however. Ick! ;)

Got it just before dark, skinned and parted out where it dropped, the head is all had left to take pic's of. No idea of weight no scale at camp, it was heavy though..lol

Haven't weighed it yet but it held together as it should, found on opposite side under the shin, broke the shoulder aswell.

Those pics are makin' me HUNGRY! How can a moose look so delicious before it's even butchered?

I haven't even seen any moose so far this year. Strange - we've typically seen many moose by this point in the year. No matter, I didn't get drawn
