Ordered a mosin nagant M91/30 from them a few weeks back. Order stayed in "Pending" for a day and a half (had to fax them PAL). Then went to "processing" and "shipped" within a couple more days. UPS had the package on truck for delivery in the space of a couple more days making the time from checkout to in my hands at about 7 days or five business days. However thanks to a small mistype of my house address by SFRC UPS couldn't deliver to the house that day and had to obtain proper address from shipper. I emailed SFRC and received two emails over the course of that weekend apologizing and promising they would call when UPS opened on Tuesday after long weekend. They meant what they said and not only did they call Tuesday morning but it was early enough I had the Mosin that afternoon!!!

Overall rifle was in great shape. Top fore stock had a somewhat poor finish but the rest of the gun was in excellent condition with really crisp bore. everything including ammo pouch tool kit and oiler was caked in cosmoline :p but thats to be expected with this kind of rifle.

In closing SFRC is an amazing retailer deserving the respect and business of all CGN members unlike a couple of the other sponsors that seem content in the knowledge that there fan club here is the only business they need and customer service comes second for the "other" customers. In fact I was ready to order from a different company until I stumbled upon a thread between a frustrated customer and a rude almost abusive sponsoring retailer (you know who you are).

That's not the case with SFRC though there awesome and i look forward to dealing with them in the future!!!

Lol as a certain thread was deleted before open war broke out between the "dealers loyalist's" and our "think for yourself" freedom fighters could erupt i really have no evidence to support any accusation I may or may not have been making. :p

your lucky then

you r lucky my mosin nagant came with manf date of 19_3 and reasonable bore which i beleave to be 1943 .after asking for vg bore and wood 1941 or earlier, watching for reply from ammosource,so far not impressed

As I've stated many times before I don't check the bore. As to years, I believe it says I will do my best to get a requested year but there are no guarantees. These are 70 years old military surplus rifles that have been used in at least one war.

Pretty much my experience as well (except for the shipping address blip). Ryan's such a great guy I'm trying to convince my friend to buy an SKS from SFRC.

Well that's a pretty unique statement. We select requested surplus firearms when ever possible. It's right in the description, nothing hidden, no secrets

why advertise to try and meet customer demands.just send anything, got the money who cares

This is what Ryan has on his site:

"If you want a particular year please include it in your comments but I make no guarantees that they will be available. Put a first, second and third choice if possible or leave blank and I'll select a nice one from my inventory."

He's putting this out there because he's a nice guy and has good customer service. He probably also knows that certain shooters prefer certain things, especially with older rifles like the Nagant.

If you're sticking to you statement, of "just send anything, got the money who cares" then why are you whining that you didn't get the year you wanted? What's the difference to you if you apparently think that Ryan shouldn't have any customer service what so ever?

Ryan's team has been golden, every time I've purchased from them, in person or by mail. Given the relatively short time he's been working with firearms and components, SFRC has done an amazing job of building a solid business.

I just placed my first order ever from SFRC on last Wednesday (late afternoon) for an ISSC MK22 and a Vortex Sparc. Got an email from Ryan on Thursday morning asking for a scan of my PAL... sent that off right away. Got my shipping notice today.

Considering by a fluke of timing I just happened to hit the week where Ryan got his NP29s in and probably had about a million orders to process for those, I'm very happy with SFRC's service... I'll definitely be coming back for more! :)

This business has grown rapidly from a reloading supplier to a full gunstore. All my dealings have been hassle free and I will do business with them again. Keep up the good work Ryan and the girls. Thanks for bringing in all the cool stuff at very reasonable prices.

Oh, I hate SFRC...

Not only did they process my order for the new NEA 15 carbines quickly, Marcie did my transfer first and had it to me within 2 days. Then when I had a problem with the buffer tube, Ryan had the gall to ask me to bring it over in the evening so he could fix it for me after hours, taking time out of his personal life to help...

My wallet really hates them...

</sarcasm>

On a serious note, my only real problem I have had is that I can never get the ammo I want because it sells to quickly, before I get a chance to go out and get some <LOL>. They are great, 9/10 (they would have got a 10, but Ryan refused to participate in "Topless Tuesday" when I was there)...
