Cadex lower receivers

x2 for pics of the lowers.. basically I'd like to see what is different about these compared to other billet lowers out there.

I'll find out.

So I just got the word that these lowers are 7075-T6 aluminum.

Are they worth 500 as a striped lower?

Yes. Billet and 7075-T-6 aluminum. Other features include a magwell that is grooved at the front and the bottom is flared.

The AR-10 lowers mate up extremely well to KAC and Noveske uppers.

Do you have a Noveske AR-10 upper?

.

These are pretty nifty AR lowers and being Canadian made is a plus, except I have one problem with them - you cannot remove the trigger guard. FYI for those of you who didn't notice and this matters to you. I like doing winter shooting (and I mean extreme cold where nothing less than winter mitts will do) so this is a necessity.

Farmboy, do you know if Cadex has a lower receiver model with pivoting/removable trigger guard?

The trigger area/guards are quite large, no problem fitting gloved fingers in it.

Do you have a Noveske AR-10 upper?

None in stock right now.

I have one. And ill say as much as I find the logo a little big. It is the best made lower I have every seen.
The price tag is high but worth it
BBB

Wouldn't putting a dpms upper on a Cadex lower be like putting steel 16" wheels with snow tires on a Ferrari?

Good thing it was made to reject substandard parts. :D

Laugh2

Too funny, a couple of days ago I saw newer Corvette with steel rims and snow tires.

Those CDX lowers look nice, I may have to consider a CDX-10 lower and do a .308 build next year.

Same here, outstanding finish / quality. Plus the magwell extremely well made. As BBB said, the logo might be a little big, but when you go into these details, that means that it is near perfect

I always wanted to put studded snow tires on a Hi end Spots Car and make it my winter beater should I ever win the Lottery...All wheel drive of course.

I wish I understood why AR-10's were produced with different specs:confused:. That's kind of the key selling point to the AR-15 platform in that its like LEGO for Grown Up Kids. Well lack of interchangeability on a $500 stripped lower pretty much makes up my decision to steer clear especially when the retailer and members cant agree on which half fits. I would tend to think it would be aimed at the Canadian market thus built to accept Armalite/Colt type setup's instead of the more elitist brands like Noveske. But Im certainly not going to gamble $500 on it to find out.
