SIG P210 Super Target

Will be going to the 2012 SHOTSHOW, I am going to inqiure about this product plus see if they are going to produce any in 22 rimfire in the near future, hold on will get pictures and info sent back here in January, cheers Dale Z!

The fixed sight standard model has been available in Canada and more recently in the US. I placed my order back in July for the target model with varying estimated arrivals the earliest of which was the end of August. That has been revised several times and to my knowledge, nothing has arrived in Canada. John at Wolverine seems to have a good handle on these things. At the time I placed my order, the fixed sight version was available at a couple of sources in western Canada.

Get a SIG 210-5, its the target model. There should be some around. They are assembled by hand and have a trigger put like a 1950's 'Smith. The model you want is the standard model without the extended barrel. They look somewhat like a standard 210,but have a real dark bluing on a mirror finish. I've had mine for years. it is a lot nicer than the standard 210's.

First of all the 210-5 is the extended barrel model. The target version with a standard barrel length is the 210-6. Also how the bluing looks has nothing to do with which model it is, just the year of manufacture. And lastly the Super Target is quite different to the older 210 models, almost a new pistol. Here is a photo for those that have not seen it yet. 1911 style safety, 6 inch barrel, extended dust cover and slide, lateral (american) magazine release. These new features make the gun much more usable. Recent tests in Europe show the accuracy identical to older SAN swiss made pistols. I recently sold all of my older 210s with their horrible European magazine catch and what must be the worst safety ever put on a pistol, virtually non-working.
