300 win mag for coyotes

well you can get 100gr bullets for the 300 win mag but getting them to shoot accuratley could be a challage at that range its gonna have to come down to trial and error to find a bullet weight and load thats gonna work in his rifle.

155 grain palma bullets loaded to 2900 fps have a very manageable recoil and they are designed for long distance target shooting.

Shoot 2 with my 308 and 155 gr Amax, i did only a small entry and exit hole did not damage much, like and ice pick... JP.

Why would it rip it to shreds? I thought the whole idea of the Barnes was to petal out and stay together. Shouldn't it be in and out?

a expensive coyote .

Yea... a whole dollar. noneck, Barnes typically makes a pretty impressive exit hole, holding together and all, they also expand more rapidly than many would figure. I still consider it a good coyote bullet, as it doesn't flay the opposite side of the animal in large chamberings like a cheap cup and core, but they can make a hell of a hole.

Fur buyers have a completely different view of what damage is than hunters do. If you killed your coyote by lethal injection, they would find the needle mark and declare the hide worthless.(But they will save you the trouble of throwing it away if you left it with them)

These worthies haven't changed much since they were phuckin the Indians out of their buffalo robes and beaver pelts back in the furtradeing days.
