scope for 300 to 500 yard for rfb?

so I went hunting with my rfb and the burris ar-332 prism sight I bought for it is awsome! But for target shooting to 500 yard the 3x is just not enouf. so i was thinking a scope like the burris timberline 4.5x14x32 might be a good choice for this 28 inch bull pup what do you guys think?

Try browsing the precision rifle forum, they talk about scopes a lot. I wish I could help but I'm new to the whole scope thing myself.

Sorry bro, a lot of people here are all talked out on : scope choices, sks dress-up, 9mm vs 45acp vs .40, bear defence (actually, I could use an animal defence thread, it's been a while...), bullpup legalities, and such.

Any scope will work. I use a Nightforce 2.5-10x24 on mine, and think its a perfect combo.

For that kind of money, a Redfield 3-9... But really... I'd want to put something much better on a $2500 rifle...

Maybe a Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x44, it's around the $700 range... Or a Viper HS 2.5-10x44 with Dead-Hold BDC, around $500.

I get exacly your point. but my problem is I got money going to other place plus I just both a near 500$ 3x sight for it. I was thinking the burris could be a good compromise, beter then buying a leaper or nc star at least ? plus I was thinking the long and generous eye relive(3.5 to 5") if i remeber corectly could be nice on this gun....

One other option I was thinking of was the nikkon coyote special 4.5x14x40 ?
