My trusty 300WSM struck again. No rangefinder and 3 hills between us made it hard to pace off the range but i guessed 350-400 and my partner figured 400 for sure. All I know is I held aprox 18" over where i wanted it and the 180 grn Winchester XP3 hit right on target and dropped it in its tracks. It was well worth walking a mile through some of the roughest pasture I have access to. Time to warm up the smoker :) And make a trip to the taxidermist

Well i`m shocked that you managed to get that rig out of the truck. Usually hangs up on a mirror or something. Kind of thought you`d be sick of smoked meat after all you ate last season.:p Not to bad a shot for a youngster.:D

I sure dont feel like no youngster this morning, Kinda siezed up and can barely move. You have to come help me retrieve a deer one of these times :p
