This is much more appealing to me than the Savage 110BA.
What do you guys think?
Anyone shooting one of these yet?

I do not know. I just used that pic as I did not have any other. I'm still trying to find out if the Savage 338 lapua actions are different from the savage regular long actions.
I read on one web site that the bolt lugs were strengthened (beefed up), but I have no clue of this is true?
Its a cool looking rifle to me anyway.
What other web site btw. Just incase I do deserve a Christmas present.
Thats a hell of a deal, can't build one for that price. I'll bring a couple in if they are still available from my distributor.

Yes, they are slightly different. The bolt lugs did not have to change, they are longer but it did not increase strength. The real difference is the mag port being further back to lengthen the lower lug which does strengthen it. The base holes are 8-40. I have made 338 Lapuas from Stevens actions but this deal is a bargain.
Sean, any idea of the availability of the HS vertical stock for a Savage long action? I think I know a guy with a stevens 300 wm that would be interested in one.
Any idea what bottom metal that is?
Hawk-i,
$1399 thats a nicer price for sure.
We'll see if we can do even better
Not sure on the bottom metal. I can get the HS vertical stocks in pretty quickly.
Now I don't know what to do, build on my stevens 200 or wait and see what you can do with regard the 338 lapua.
I'l have to get thinking.
I cant see building one, plus you would get an accutrigger on the savage one.
Your not helping your business by talking me out of it, I likely would have sourced a lot of those parts from you.But it does make sense.
The thing about putting something together based on the stevens for me is that the cost can be spread over time. And of course its satisfying to know its a bit different.
Anyway, I'm still thinking.I keep looking at that A3 stock you have but I really like the HS stock you sold me and man does that 338 look good in one.
