Putting my Marauder kit together and am wondering what optics to put on it. I'm torn between a Vortex Strikefire or the Vortex Crossfire in 1.5-4x32. What are you guys running on yours? Pics would be a bonus. Thanks.

I have a Tasco 1x42 that I plan to put on it...once it actually arrives :p

If I like it I might look into something better, since I've never really used a cheap red dot before. But I doubt it will make much a difference since I don't think I'll be sitting at a bench trying to shoot 1" groups with the thing, if you know what I mean.

I like iron sights though, so depending on how those stock ones work out I might even stick to them :D

I found these red/green dots work great on the Marauder, they are $58, all metal & complete with a see thru Cantilever mount that still allows open sight use. check them out HERE.

I've got the Strike Fire on mine. Great quality and features. The included doubler is handy to have as well. With the low mount installed is fits Perfectly flush with the top rail which is ideal for this gun.

I have no complaints about the optic at all and would recommend it for sure. Pics are in the Marauder thread if you want to have a look.

So you used the low mount on the strikfire... does it co-witness with the sight on the front>? i am gonna get a strikefire for mine as well and was wondering wether i neede the high or low mount for it...

It does not co-witness with iron sights unfortunately. If you left the front sight on you would be able to see it, but not line it up with the rear sight.

SO you look through the front sight still?? or did you cut it off? whats your recommendation, high or low mount<?

Yes, with the low mount you can still see the front sight through the optic, but I doubt that you can acheive co-witness with it. it sits fairly low in the glass. But yes, the low mount is the way to go because of the rails height over the barrel already.
