I've had an SL8 for a while but haven't used much so I bought a spare stock from a fellow CGNer off the EE:

I pulled the few bits off and drew some lines:

Used the following tools:

Made some cuts:

Produced a stock with less suck:

The way it should have come from the factory:

The grip and underside was; cut, braced, heated, moulded, sanded, filled, sanded, primed, sanded, painted (black), sanded and finally 3 coats of truck bed liner in a can.

I took step by step pictures but narrowed it to a few.

You, Sir, have balls of steel - taking a power tool to a $2400 rifle without knowing you can get a cheap replacement. Outstanding. Excellent results too - HK should have produced that rifle like that in the first place, they'd sell a whole lot more your way than they do with that geeky crap they produce.

You sir a a real a class gun nut! Thats a real good job, you did fix 90% off the suck of that gun like they said!

One more thing, how comme almost every time i need info on a gun, see a nice picture of a gun I like or a picture of a gun like mine but with cool mod or a informative topic you alway got a share of that ? :)
