i finished this tonight and just wanted to show it off.

my 'G36c' length maruder.

typical 10/22, 10" (254mm) barrel off a ruger charger (legal length and in the system now, thanks to me, and months of working with the CFO)
muzzle brake machined to work with the new barrel, airsoft 'C' length fore grip, folding stock pinned (total length of 27", plus muzzle brake), customized trigger guard made of aluminum for a better look, marauder front hand stop modified to fit the new hand guard, and painted faux selector symbols.
front vertical grip still to come, plus EoTech and a magnifier. then its truly done.

and all still non-restricted.

for those who will ask.... NO, the aluminum airsoft fore grip does not just drop in. it does fit close but requires some machining and filing.

by the way, i am very impressed with the quality of these marauder kits. i wasnt sure what to expect, but they are sure worth the $ for the quality you get! an A+ to promag!

Looks great!

Got any pics of the work you did? Supplier for the short handguard? I have a 12" McGowan barrel waiting for me to get time to put it all together, but this is even better because it will make another Liberal wail about short uncontrolled firearms.

ill try and get a picture, but its nothing hard if you have a die grinder and a file, or lots of time and a file. if one had the airsoft hand guard and slipped ot over the kit, you would see right away what needs to be done. just some meat removed from the rear portion.

i go the front end from an airsoft place in edmonton (capitol-airsoft) i think it was $80 shipped.
you can also find them on e-bay or airsoft places who ship from china. usually around $60-$80. they also make them in a K length.

FVCK, i have my Maruader for sale right now and am thinking of just keeping it and doing exactly what you guys did.

Any idea in where I can buy the railed handguard anyone???

^^ yes, with the stock pinned, it is actually 27.25" total length, plus the 1.5" or so of flash hider (which doesn't contribute to total length) i did not measure it folded before pinning it, sorry.

people have asked how i pinned the stock so here is a photo. i drilled and tapped a hole into the bottom of the stock, aimed toward the stocks lock/release button. i then screwed a small set screw in, stopping the button from being able to depress. it worked very well.

also, i shot the gun today for the first time and it is very accurate with the 10" barrel and the open sights at 25 yards. i am quite impressed.
