I have a Win. 94 AE XTR in 375 win. and it is very, very accurate with cast bullets.

Two questions:

1. What does the XTR stand for?

2. Isn't it kind of odd that a Win 94 would have a serial number starting with 1894?

Number 1: "XTR" stands for extra IIRC.

In answer to number 2: I purchased a VAR barrelled M1 Garand a few years ago from a recently returned from Bosnia infantry soldier when I was still in the military. He was scratching up funds to pay for his civilian high pressure welding certificate. The rifle was like-new in grease after FTR.
It's last three digits coincided then, with my airforce squadron number at CFB Cold Lake.

I bought a rifle from a local fellow last year. The serial # on the rifle matched my bank account number exactly.

Haha..what are the chances of numbers matching like that, eh? You two gotta transfer that luck over to the lottery now.:)
