RONI Glock Carbine conversion kits - Good news!

I am sourcing mine through a local airsoft supplier. It was indicated to me that there were no guarantees it would work with a Glock 17 9mm. Nor would it be able to handle the shock and vibration from one. The frame is spec'ed to handle the shock and vibration from 22LR. I guess I will find out and see. It will apparently fit an airsoft Glock but there seems to be no interest in them so they are not moving out of inventory.

Just to qualify that this purchase is not for any other intentions but fun. I divulge I already have a sub and a carbine. This will be purely something different to try. Great feedback from everybody. If it works out I am getting two kits. One black and one tan with one set of sights. *crossing fingers*

Got mine today, quality is pretty good. I doubt its a legit EMA, my EMA shotgun foregrip and CAA Stock have a lot more QC to it. Had no fitment issues on my Gen 4 G17, even with the larger back straps. Had to re tighten almost all the screws (loctite is probably a good idea), I would look into replacing the pins though, they seem pretty cheap, at least my front one does.

If a guy was using an Advantage Arms .22 conversion on his GLOCK, that would probably be easier on the airsoft version of the stock, would it not?

The .22 conversion works but you have to modify the cocking piece. I bought and extra one ($9) and had to grind the inside a bit as the rear slide serrations are different on the Advantage Arms slide compared to the Glock slide.

I would have like to have seen something like the RONI made for my PMR30. It would be the perfect caliber and Kel Tec would have been the ones to be able to do it. *sigh*

So I sold my "real Roni" a while back after I bought the JR Carbine. It was a little redundant having both plus the JR is non-restricted. This thread got me curious and I decided to meet the dealer in person after he got more in stock recently. These are definitely Gen1 Ronis. It's heavier than my real one was and the rails are all metal including the top rail. I will report more after I shoot it. Will post pics later tonight. By the way I bought this for fun not because I thought it was going to turn my G17 into a serious carbine.

I got it no tax or shipping since I paid cash in person. :)

I bought one too and compared it to my real one - it is clearly airsoft with the EMA instead of CAA logo, they just had a gen 1 to copy off.

Yes, the rails are metal, same as my $10 scope rings. The real Roni has rails which compare to my $250 Leupold Mark 4 rings.

Dont fool yourself.

Well that is disappointing....if they are the airsoft models, not left over CAA....

Any other members get one and can do a side by side with the "real" stock that would be great with pics!!!!

Hi Folks,

Got mine today and just got it together. It's definitely Airsoft. That said it's solid and might just do the trick for a Roni impersonator.

I got the black unit and there are some differences from the Tan unit the OP posted pics of.

The Black one has six vents on the front muzzle, three on the right and three on the left vs. the three on the top for the tan unit.

Additionally, there is no little man (EMA logo) on the unit I received.

Will know better once it's got a Glock inside but it sure seems beefy enough to work.

Peal off the sticker, you may not see it since yours is black.
