Hey guys. Ive read a few posts and mixed reviews regarding the company and customer service. Im looking to get one of there gas systems and a bolt. Im guessing by the sounds of things, I should also replace the oprod when using one of there bolts correct? Im also wondering how people go about ordering from them? Is there a canadian dealer or is it right from there site?
Cheers

just call eh? easy enough... as for the op rod. I've read a bit regarding new bolts with rollers flying apart. In one post Im sure it was said that the slighty out of spec norc op rod was to blame. sure, being forged is great, but if its not made right its still junk. I asked about shipping because I cant get a bolt from brownells so I was wondering what is different with 7.62.

I've got a 09' poly, SEI cost gard Brake, garand rear signt, trigger work and tuned at a hungry clinic. sitting in a M14doc CQB stock with a arms 18 mount/ falcon scope.

Export permits and whatnot, if the manufacturers have dealt with the department of defense and things like that can limit things. 762 hasn't done that I'm pretty sure.

You call them. If they're too busy, you call again later.

Ordered their ejector and extractor via phone. 2 months, 6 phone calls later, I had to threaten to call my credit card company and reverse the charges. 2 days later I got 2 of each in an overnight express envelope.

They really arnt crooks but have a terrible terrible sense of what good customer service is.

The parts I received however are of top not quality.

6 months later, the "original" parts they "think" they sent have yet to show up.

I bought a complete gas system from them including piston, no problem. They shipped it the same day I ordered it. The shipper even called me on my cell to double check the mailing address.

I believe that cap has been raised to $500, read it some where in the black section...... let me try and find it.

The thread is here;

It remains to be seen if this will help us out, as it seems just the funding is removed but perhaps not the ITAR regulation itself. Hopefully the limit will be raised in the future, but we may still be stuck with the ridiculous $100 limit for now.
Canada was offered an exemption from ITAR, but the Liberal government at the time declined - Allan Rock doing his dirty work once again.

The $100 (or speculated $500) limit does not apply to the critical parts needed to make a firearm...........nor does it apply to USGI military parts (IE, M14 parts).......

Parts such as barrels, triggers, gas systems, bolts, op rods, etc, require export paperwork in order to be legally exported out of the U.S.

Some agencies such as The U.S. Commerce Dept (who control shotguns, shotgun parts, scopes, and scope mounts/rings) have no such exemptions........All items under their control require export permits.......

How about M1A parts?

If they are parts such as I mentioned above, it doesn't matter if they are M1A parts..........export permits are still required.

Items such as Boyds M1A stocks are good to go as long as the dollar value is under the limit...........

Some of the well known specialty M14 parts suppliers such as Fulton Armory will not ship to Canada, or outside the U.S.

It applies to M14 PARTS as the M14 was and still is an active duty firearm within the US military and LEO orgs. The M1A is a commercial , civillian rifle. Many manufacturers of M1A parts have their products liscenced for export. This is the stuff you can get. Many companies that make M1A stuff do not have their stuff export liscenced, and this stuff you can't order.
None of the new manufacture stuff, ie: 7.62 firearms are NOT making m14 parts, they are making M1A parts. There's a difference.

^^ Easier said than done...try to explain that to the hero that wants to make a name for himself at the border. Was talking to a supplier way down south and he said that the department of statistics was getting their hands in on the craziness down there. If you really want something keep searching up here as there are good parts still floating around
