So I just bought my first hand gun, a Glock 22 if anyone's interested and now I'm just waiting for the cfo to go through the papers and issue the temp ATT so I can pick it up. While I'm waiting I figured I would fill out a bulk of the info for my LATT. What I have a question about is the dates and times of transport. Is it possible to put weekly then have say four days of the week selected then just have sort of blanket times so like 12pm-2pm for the first box then 2pm to 4pm for the departure time from the range or is there an easier way. I ask this because my schedule really isn't all that reliable to say for sure what days and what times I would be able to make it to the range.

My ATT says 00:01 to 24:00 7 days a week. Your only taking them to the range so its really just red tape, the purpose of times makes no sense to me under the current system.

Better to ensure you have all the time in the world then to sell yourself short and risk a police officer tagging you

Assuming that you are a bonafide member of an approved shooting club, you can expect your LTATT "for the purpose of target shooting" to be valid, explicitly, during the hours of operation and day of the week of any approved shooting club or any approved shooting range - within your province - to which you are invited, and, to which you are transporting your firearms, and, in all circumstances, by a reasonably direct route.

I agree with ava 00:01 to 24:00 7 days a week. Then ask for BC, AB, SK and the yukon, say you want to shoot in those provinces without having to bug them for temp att all the time. Ensure it has to and from gunsmiths and border crossings.
There are some sticky's in the legal section ya might want to read.

Okay so going with the 24/7 time frame, on the form I would check daily then in the boxes for time I would put 00:00-24:00 in the first section and 24:00-00:00 in the second section?

I thought LATT is arranged my the club?? We can fill out our own LATT?

In the end I didn't even bother with the form I just called the AB CFO's office (at least I think that's who I talked to) and asked to get an LTATT then they just asked for my pal info and the usual stuff and said they would issue me one, it was surprisingly easy and painless. Now the question is when do I get the silly thing.

That was almost the same as me. I bought a new 1911 and had to fax the AB CFO my gun club membership. I called back to confirm that they had got the fax and the lady on the other end said that they had got it and she will fill out the LTATT form and send it off. I didn't even have to ask for one.
