win and w-w headstamps, are they the same?

Does anyone know if the winchester brass marked WIN is the same as the stuff marked w-w super?

Well both mean Winchester but I'm not sure if the W-W is just older or from a different plant.

Yup....when I'm sorting brass it all goes in the Win pile

It might not have been manufactured in the same plant. Therefore do not assume it has the same case capacity. I made that mistake and it was no fun. I would start creating a load with each different type of brass.
If you have a ball powder like H110 powder around, fill one case with it, tap it, top it off and then pour it in the other to see if they have the same capacity, tap it. Then reverse the process.

or just weigh the case and then fill it with water and subtract the first weight from the second?

w-w= winchester western. Probably from the old western plant after winchester bought them out. Win is probably a newer stamp.
