Well, it seems that we are seeing more and more wolves and coyotes and less and less deer in my area, so I'd like to try to remedy that problem. I have never hunted these animals and am unsure where to start. I did some youtubing, but I was hoping that someone can point me in the direction of some videos, books, etc where I will actually learn how to go about hinting these guys. We have also noticed more fox and less and less rabbits and grouse, so any tips on hunting those would be helpful as well. Thanks everyone.

I liked coyotecanada.com .... fairly informative...... what part of the country are you from?.... I have become pretty good at this over the years...we could hunt together if you are looking for a partner...

I'm trying to learn more about wolf hunting as well, so thanks for the youtube link DVXDUDE. You always pop up when there is a wolf thread, always got your ear to the ground eh! :D Your avatar still cracks me up.

jlovie, I'm southern/central Ontario and the more guys I talk to the more I think there are lots of wolves around, I just have to put in the time.

Sorry guys, never thought about how where I live could effect the way to hunt. The area is northern Ontario, manitoulin island to be specific. I would be hunting all bush, with a half acre open area.

look up Brian McCarthy on the island. VERY interesting guy. hunts coyotes and wolves every year and does extremely well. ask him if he'd take time over a coffee (or offer to buy him lunch..it'll be worth it, i guarantee you) to give you some basics to get you started...loves to talk!

he may even invite you on one of his many hunts..especially to carry his gear..lol (inside joke)
