A friend of mine bought a .240 Weatherby recently.
he's using 90gr ? Nosler BT's at about 3000 fps he said. I think he should be able to get closer to 3400fps. He's getting 3/4" groups at 100, which is good, but could be better. I think his main purpose is yotes.
I've never worked with this cartridge, anybody have any favorite powders etc?
I think we will play with it a bit, probably bed it, as it seems to have a pressure point of some sort. I don't use Weatherby rifles much, so not 100% up to speed on their current bedding procedure.
