Looks pretty interesting!

Looks like a Glock with the added weight where a light would go. Sorry, but the issue of recoil management is heavily influenced by the shooters ability. As for optics on a handgun, WTF?!?! This looks like another gimmick.

kinda reminds me of the judge dredd gun

IPSC gamers everywhere around the world are having a raging hardon right now.

IMO, it's nice to see someone trying to push the envelope. As for how this gun performs and handles, we'll see when the real thing gets tested.

When this thing first started showing up on the internet I just thought, "whatever" because recoil mitigation is not a huge concern for me in 9mm platforms, and this looks like a complicated mess.

However, the last year or so has seen so much talk about putting MRDS on pistols that I'm wondering if something like this might actually have an application in the relatively near future.

A non-reciprocating slide seems to be one of the "leap-forward" moments a lot of people are waiting for before shifting to MRDS technology on pistols.

^^Yep....I'm sniffing the Koolaid on it. Larry Vickers is using one on a Glock as well.

Costa makes some good points here about using an RDS on a pistol.

Actually RDS on combat pistols are becoming more popular.

They're becoming popular because people like Gabe Saurez have huge followings of poorly informed enthusiasts, not to mention the "cool" factor seen in open class guns for IPSC/USPSA. Learn to shoot with irons and you can be just as fast as a guy with an optic without the increased price or goofy looking gun.

I am not sure...there are the Suarezes, but then there are also the Dr. Robertses and Vickerses and Rogerses...

I think that there is POTENTIAL merit to the MRDS setup.

What I am hearing is that the guys who are really benefiting the most are older guys whose vision is going.

That said, the benefit that I hear most about is not speed, it's accuracy on low-probability shots at a distance. At any rate I am not a convert but I think that there is the potential for improvement there. I think over the next 3-5 years we're going to see some developments in combining pistols and small, rugged optics that will push a lot of people in that direction.

100% - The population is aging and dots are easier than irons for older folks.

Hard to envision this pistol as a CCW but who knows, I'm sure there's more than a few Americans who carry full size guns with a light - and the end product of this may not be much larger.

Kudos for TDI to try something new.

please retract your statement. Race guns are nothing short of bon chic bon genre.
