Hi Everyone,

Wondering if anyone has affixed a Smith Enterprises flash hider on a Norc M305B?

Specifically the Vortex Flash hider (which looks like it might be compatible with the metric castle nut?).

Anyone done this? Are these obtainable in Canada (either locally or shipped up from US?).

Anything better for $100 to put on the end of this rifle?

Just buy it from Brownells, Smith Enterprise IS on the exportable list...

...Even if it is a little over $100 try buying, the allowable amount is a value of $100 WHOLESALE not retail.

Brownells will not ship. SEI is indeed on the export list but flash hiders are non exportable (muzzle brakes aren't a problem)

Buy a smith enterprises brake from brownells, 100 bucks, comes with castle nut pliers and allen keys, everything you need. They look better than a flash hider IMO and they actually work! Gotta re use your old castle nut, don't screw it up taking it off or your gonna have to buy another one. Lots of info here on gunnuts on how to remove the welded on flash hider they come with.

The US government prohibits the export of flash hiders even if they cost under 100.00

Muzzle brakes are exportable. Try Wolverine Supplies for the smith enterprise coast guard brake. It is the best there is. Fits up just like the chinese flash hider, reusing it's castlnut.

Forgot about that...

...One thing about buying from Brownells, if you try to buy something that isn't allowed they will let you know. (If the part is from a company that isn't on the allowed list they may even recommend an alternative that is on the list.)

I got my Smith navy/coast gaurd brake from ATRS. It wasnt listed on the web site, but Smith Ent had them listed as a distributor. So i called. Had it to me in 5 days, not cheap though.
