Not sure where oh where to post this and some like these
for storing stuff/ammo.
On for fifteen loonies.
There is also a slightly smaller first aid box in the flyer as well.
Cheers.

You really have to pick through the cans to get a decent one. Most have some rust, dented bodies or lids, or are painted hideously. Even at fifteen bucks they're overpriced. Most dedicated surplus stores have ones in much better shape for less money.

I normally laud Princess Auto but not on this one.

Make sure to try and check where they keep the over stock ..

I went into princess auto one night on a whim for ammo cans and on the shelf they 50s and 30s most of them were trashed pretty bad , but something caught my attention up above me and low and behold in a hidden compartment above the isle i saw MINT condition 50 cal cans .

Perfect writing on the box , perfect seals , no dents , perfect unscratched paint , looked like they came right off the production line , they said they do that with new inventory to get rid of old stuff .

The flyer has the .50's for $23 (reg price) and plastic first aid item for $15. Long gone are $5 -$10 days.

Don't know why they are so pricey. Crown Surplus in Calgary used to have a yard full, from the Brits at Suffield. Judging by the color of the PA cans, I think they come from the same source. Some of them are basically junk.

Grizz

I was P!$$ed when I bought 3 crates of the Russian 7.62x39 ammo Le baron had only to find out the spam cans had been opened and the individual 20 round cardboard boxes were in the crates with no protection from the elements. I wound up getting 2 of the 40mm ammo boxes and they will hold the 3 crates of ammo almost perfectly! :D:D
Now they're all set for loooooong term storage!

There's always sand in the bottom of the ones I buy at PA. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Yes. You get a unit on the range. When they're done firing, they put the brass back into the boxes and send them back to the ammo section. There the brass and the boxes are separated. Sand in the cases picked up off the ground inevitably bring sand.
