new carbon fiber bipod on the market

no it's not for the look ! it's carbon fiber legs supported by alluminium plates. Stiff enough to be loaded.

Are there any more pics of it anywhere? The reason I said that was because you can buy CF finished tubes to slide over barrels and anything else you want to pretty up to make look like carbon fiber. Maybe they are solid rods of carbon fiber but typically you can't wrap them with the pattern so perfect like that. Also, if you look close, the aluminum looks like it is inset into the carbon fiber with bolts holding it. That would be incredibly hard to do. Maybe they did do it but I'd be curious to see one apart.

Those carbon tubes are pretty available. If you dig around, anyways. The nice layup on the outside layer is made with a braided tube of carbon cloth, or they just oriented the seam out of sight. In any case, I doubt very much that they did anything other than buy the carbon tube from a catalog.

I see a fair bit of weight that could come off that bipod yet. Lots of extra meat on the two main plates, outboard of the fasteners. Ditch the screws that hold the plugs in the tubes, and use adhesives. Pocket out the main plates, etc. Some skeletonized carbon locking levers... :) It could get expensive, spending other peoples money!

My FTR MPOD is now in production. Aluminum and steel construction 14.5ozs on the rifle rail. Pretty sure this is the lightest Ski Pod on the market today.

1/2 the price of most ski pods too.

See my dealer forum.

Mystic got a good bipod also ! good design.

is there any cant adjustment ?

By setting the legs at different heights, you achieve the cant.

Ranges aren't going to be that out of level so we decided massive cant wasn't that necessary.

But the pod can still do 20degs easy enough. More then enough even for hunting or tactical situation.

I have a Star-Shooter but haven't had a chance to wring it out as of yet. It's much lighter than a Remple but a touch heavier (@ 2 lbs) that the Weill generation II. Elevation is similar to either and leveling is simpler. Very well constructed, strong, and well designed. The price is right $425 total, priority mail to your door. I can see a lot of these being sold to the F Class crowd. The 8 week delivery time accounts for the workmanship.
