So the rifle in question has 2 lands and 2 grooves. Is that normal?
What bullet/powder combination should I consider? It slugged to 316 to the bottom of the grooves. The bore is dark. Ser# P291xxA England N19 with a crown under it. R something F stamped on wrist, looks like a C. 1 something 42 also on wrist.
Where do I go look for info about this rifle.
Is it a wall hanger?

Any Ideas?
Prefered bullets?
Prefered powder?
thanks

The two groove BBL was made by Savage I beleive, Some swear by them some at them! Myself I have a #4mk1 with the 2 groove bbl and it likes shooting cast! Size to 1-2 thou over groove diameter do some load development and have a blast! My load consists of A2400 poder a win LP primer Yes large pistol and a gas checked .314gr 316299 from NOE in Utah .

cast is the best go to cast bullet engineering he's the best for the lee enfields he's in AUS but its still real cheap(for a coustom mold that is) i got one and never looked back

I had alot of fun with Hrn 150gr bullets over H335 and CCI BR2 primers.

today, I would use Benchmark. also, there are a variety of 174gr BTHP and FMJ's

Jerry

just dont go stocking up on 174gr FMJBT's before you try a few... my enfield and several others my friends have HATE them... the 174 Hornady RN's on the other hand do very very well in all of our rifles...
