homemade/ghetto shotguns..wtf?

So are staplers going to be on the UN ban list soon? Shall we stock up on the extra heavy duty ones, just in case? Should staplers be sold only to people 18 yrs and above? Will the RCMP Forensics lab/NWEST get involved? Will 'black' staplers be prohibited? Will this 'new'(NOT) development fuel a stationery arms race? :p

Edit: if heavy duty staplers are banned, will we still be able to get 'parts kits'? This raises SO many "important" :jerkit: questions. . . :D

I can understand that "necessity is the mother of invention", and it is always interesting to tinker and "see if I can do it". But seriously. Stapler Shotgun? Really? For like $100 you can buy a NEW actually manufactured properly kind of shotgun. Add all his parts together, and all his tinkering time, and that is likely close to $100. Factor in the "I sure hope this doesn't blow up on me" part and I don't think building your own is really worth it.

The work that he is doing is extremely valuable. It is irrefutable proof that effective gun control is impossible. All it takes is a staple gun and a piece of pipe to build a gun. Every gun control advocate should see that.

what is a single shot anyway? a tube with a firing pin.
as long as the steel is quality and the lockup tight, there shouldn't be any problems

People still will not get it. They will see staplers behind every bush after seeing this.

When I was a kid, a lot of the older guys used to make pistols that fired 22 ammo (don't remember if they were s, l, or lr) using a wooden grip, a piece of car radio antenna, and iirc, an elastic and a nail as firing mechanism. I never saw one in use, but I seem to remember that some gangs back then used them.
