You guys are nuts!!! :D I can't finish handloading fast enough...can't stand it (grin)
 
If your upset because RCBS doesn't make a 5 station shell plate for the 500/416NE, and even more upset that they won't even consider making a custom one.

I don't even own one, but I have a friend with 2,of them, and he doesn't have a lot of brass, so trying to keep them fed for gopher hunting is a busy proposition on the single stage if anyone is wondering why I wanted the shell plate.
 
if after going through the mx etc brass can , you come up with more than 50 brass that you don't have a gun for, of course you get a gun to match.
 
If you get done shooting (or shooting at) a deer, and remember afterwards that you forgot to pick up your empties. Only to find that they are all in your pocket, you instinctively caught and pocketed each one before taking another shot.

This is the main reason I own a 9.3x62. Ever since I heard of it, I needed to try it. I know, it's not the most bizarre thing out there, but it was at the time for me...

I still get funny looks at the range when I try to explain that it's a ".36 calibre .30-06"...

Or if your dad shot two deer in a day and when you meet up with him at the camp that evening you ask what he did with the casings :)

If you are a hardcore coffee addict, and while your coffee is brewing, you decide to condition some cases... then feel you must prime them and reload them...

When all is done, the coffee pot has shut off and your coffee is cold. :rolleyes:
 
I think its when you go out of town for 3 weeks work carrying 400 pounds of reloading equipment and one change of clothes.

How about when you buy a new rifle in a caliber you never wanted because it might be an interesting loading experiment. My new 7 X 64 CZ 550 FS being a prime example. I have a 7-08 a 280 rem a 7mm RM and a 7mm RUM I needed a 7X64 like I needed a new orifice in my cranium!!!!!

YA MIGHT BE AN ADDICT !!!!

Hell I've bought guns because I got a deal on a set of dies before! And because I have left over powder that doesn't suite current cartridges I own :D

That reminds me, I have half a pound of RE25, and 7RM dies i got for 20$.........

when you own a progress press, but you do most of your reloading on a single stage press because it takes longer.

I am going to share with you a story told me by a very close friend. This friend was, until his dying day, a close friend with old PO Ackley, who shared this story with him.
Apparently old PO was walking down the street one day with Elmer Keith (who were good friends) extolling the virtues and pitfalls of cartridge X when a very well endowed young lady came jogging up the sidewalk towards them, apparently somewhat scantily clad. According to old PO, Keith never missed a beat in his dissertation of said cartridge, but PO said he never heard what Keith was saying due to the visual distraction. After she had passed he commented to Keith about what a well endowed young lady she was, Keith had not even noticed the young lady and carried on with his assessment of cartridge X. To old PO this constitutited an unhealthy obsession!!
