Just got my first AR15.

Questar "unbranded" carbine upper.
Spikes tactical lower with rock river arms internals.
Lucid hd7 red dot

It's just a cheap way for me to get my foot in the door as far as AR's go, if I really like it I should have a better idea what I'm looking for when I drop some real change on a rig.
 
Just got back from the range, the rifle functioned flawlessly, the 10 rounders had zero issues.

The red dot sight was perfect, had it zero'd perfectly with only two adjustments and so far has held zero perfectly.

Good to hear that the lucid performed well.
As we are the distribitor for Lucid products, we did our own testing and it performed very well on our shop rem 700 in 308, shorty M14 and of course my custome built 8" rem 870!
One shot tactical Firearms trainer Earl G is doing testing and a review of the lucid at the moment, should be a good read when ready.

It is IMO the best bang for your buck as far as red dots are concerned, IMO it has the quality of an eotech just not the proven reliability (yet).
